Until 2006, John's Creek was not incorporated as a city at all. In fact, most who live in this area still consider the area part of Alpharetta as it is the surrounding area that is just outside of the official city limits of Alpharetta just to the East of GA-400. Property listings in this area may be listed under the city name of Alpharetta or John's Creek; so be careful when searching for homes in this area so you don't miss out on any options that are not cross referenced.
